I was born in New York, raised in Puerto Rico. No financially literate uncle. No mentor. No blueprint. Just survival. I lost my parents young. Got in trouble. Made mistakes. Life kept hitting and for a long time, I kept falling.

For over 20 years, I showed up every single day as a cabinet maker. I worked with my hands. I believed that if you just worked hard enough, everything would work out.

Nobody told me that hard work alone wasn't enough.

I had a 489 credit score, no safety net, and what felt like no future. Enough of getting denied for apartments. Enough of being turned down for cars. Enough of getting stuck with 28% APR loans because the system had already decided what I was worth.

I went looking for answers. College. Courses. Thousands of dollars spent trying to figure it out. And after all of that time and money, not one class — not one professor — ever taught me how credit actually works. No financial literacy. No funding strategies. Nothing.

I learned the real rules — the ones they don't put in textbooks. I accessed funding people told me I would never qualify for. I built a business from the ground up with no family money, no connections, and no handouts.

Every loss. Every setback. Every denial letter. Every predatory interest rate. God had a plan — not just so I could find my way out, but so I could turn around and reach back for everyone still stuck in it.
